Preschool

Our Early Education Programs Are Building Blocks For Growth & Development

At The Boulevard School, we offer dynamic Preschool Programs to nurture every child’s interests and abilities. It is not required that students be enrolled in every class or every year.  Indeed, regardless of when your child begins, each level is proven independently effective. But together, our structured, sequential curriculums offer continuity that help children achieve their greatest potential more easily and completely.

Parent & Me Program

Our Parent & Me classes are approximately 1½ hours, once a week, for Moms or Dads and their 10-23 month old infant.

Your child will learn age appropriate social skills through interaction with the other children in their playgroup. They’ll also develop better fine motor skills with age appropriate toys and arts & crafts. We have music, singing, puppetry, and more to help expand your child’s vocabulary. Add inside & outside play activities including water play during the warmer months to promote gross motor skill development…These are the elements that nurture your child’s development.

Parent & Me Transition Program

Our Parent & Me Transition Program classes are approximately 1¾ hours, twice a week. The classes are for 20-23 month old children who will be entering our 2-year old program the following semester. With a curriculum that is similar to the Parent & Me Program, by the third week of class, the children move towards activities apart from the parent during class time.

Developing their sense of independence, the children learn to function in a secure and loving environment, interacting with other children their own age.

During this peer-to-peer time and over the course of the program, parents are provided an opportunity to participate in informative discussions with our expert staff about child development topics.

Toddler Program

Our Toddler Program for girls and boys ages 18 to 30 months nurtures learning through play and exploration. We provide structured and collaborative group time, story time, arts and crafts, music, singing, body movement, and puppetry activities to boost cognitive, motor and verbal skills. There is also unstructured play time on an outside playground specially designed for toddler aged children.

Enrollment is strictly limited to no more than 12 children per class. Toddlers do not need to be potty-trained. Potty-training is a part of the Toddler Program developmental curriculum.

All of our Toddler Program teachers are experienced, warm, and caring which helps with your toddler's separation from mom and dad and eases their transition to the school's higher grade classrooms.

Two-Year Old Program

At The Boulevard School, we offer both half day (8:35-12:00 p.m. ) and full day (8:35 am-3:00 pm) classes two, three, and five days a week.

We also offer early morning daycare beginning at 7:30 a.m. and extended after school daycare until 5:30 p.m. M-F. We stress social and emotional growth and focus on emerging language skills.

Every month we introduce different themes and related activities including music, instruments, puppetry, body movement, arts and crafts, dramatic play, block play, number concepts, colors, shapes, science, and more. This class sets a foundation and prepares the children for further social, emotional, and academic learning skills.  Children do not need to be potty-trained. The teachers will work with them in this area.

Three-Year Old Program

Three-year olds may attend half day (8:35 am-12:00 p.m. ) or full day (8:35 am-3:00 pm) programs. We offer two, three or five days a week. We also offer early morning daycare beginning at 7:30 a.m. and extended after school daycare until 5:30 p.m. M-F.

Similar to our two-year old program, activities include music, instruments, puppetry, body movement, arts and crafts, dramatic play, block play, number concepts, colors, shapes, science, and more. In the three-year old program we also introduce name and letter recognition, number concepts & recognition, and other foundational learning concepts appropriate for this age level.
