Get Outdoors!
Being in nature makes people feel happy and is good for the soul. Now that the weather is getting nicer, let’s get these kiddos off of the couch and out of the house! Here are a few easy ways to connect your kids with the great outdoors.

Plant Seeds. This activity checks the educational box and gets your kids outside! Teach them about the different stages of plant life cycle, starting with a seed. If you don’t have a backyard, not to worry, 12-inch pots work perfectly fine.
Outdoor Movie Night. Make your very own outdoor home theatre! What you’ll need: Clothespins, King or Queen White Sheets, Projector, and Outdoor Lights. Plus, a few other items like chairs, blankets, pillows and don’t forget the popcorn! Click Here for an easy DIY set up!
Get Wet!
Kids love playing with water! Beat the heat this summer with some of these water games that are both fun and educational, and can help improve a child’s physical and cognitive development.
Create an Ocean. All you need is a plastic bin, blue aquarium rocks, rubber or plastic sea creatures and water. This activity has the Dollar Store written all over it! Click Here for the step by steps.
Will it Sink or Float? This is a really fun science experiment! Have your kids collect items from around the house that they think might sink or float. Get Crafty!
Easy Arts and Crafts for kids! Anyone can do art and what better way for your kids to relieve stress and keep their minds strong. Release their creativity with these DIY painting ideas:

Sometimes we forget how simple it can be to come up with easy activities for our kids. Chasing bubbles, playing catch, dancing to music, riding a scooter, flying a kite, painting with chalk… We could go on and on!
